I'm reading Canoeing With The Cree by Eric Sevareid. Upon graduation from high school the famed correspondent and a classmate were the first to travel north from the Mississippi River through Minnesota and Canada's inland waterway to the salt water port of Hudson Bay. They traveled by canoe and made the unprecedented journey others had said wasn't possible. Sevareid's description of the journey is so compelling and well written. I wish I could have been there with him.
