'Clockwork Prince': what to read next

Already finished with the latest installment of Cassandra Clare's "Infernal Devices" series? Here's are few books to try next.

3. 'The Name of the Star,' by Maureen Johnson

Like 'Clockwork Prince,' The Name of the Star is also set in a London where a lot of things go bump in the night. Johnson's story centers on Rory Deveaux, a teenage girl who just arrived in present-day London to attend boarding school. But on the same day that Rory arrives in the city, a murder is committed that reminds police of the work of Jack the Ripper. Rory sees the person who police say is the number one suspect, but why was she the only one who spotted him – and what happens when he realizes that she did? 'The Name of the Star' has even scored a recommendation from Clare, who said, "The streets of London have never been so sinister or so romantic."
