2. "The Good Muslim," by Tahmima Anam
Bangladeshi author Tahmima Anam tells the story of Sohail and Maya, a Bangladesih brother and sister who find themselves with opposite beliefs about their country as Sohail becomes a religious leader and Maya stands by her revolutionary doctrine. Anam's earlier novel, "A Golden Age," was published in the US in 2008 to critical acclaim.
