Warren Richey
Staff writer
Warren Richey’s career as a journalist has taken him from his hometown newspaper in Red Bank, New Jersey, to assignments around the world. He covered the oil industry for the English-language Saudi Gazette in Jeddah and Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and federal courts and agencies for the Sun-Sentinel in South Florida.
In more than 20 years at the Monitor, Warren has worked as a local, national, and foreign correspondent. He currently splits his time between Florida and Washington, D.C., where he covers legal affairs and the US Supreme Court.
Warren is author of “Without a Paddle,” an account of his participation in the 2006 running of the Florida Challenge, a 1,200-mile small boat race around Florida. He competed in a sea kayak, setting a record that still stands. The book is published by St. Martin’s Press.
He is an alumnus of New York University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
He is married to Linda Feldmann, the Monitor’s White House correspondent.
