American drivers keep on truckin'

Full-size pick-up trucks remained America's hottest-selling vehicles in this year's first quarter. The Ford F-Series and Chevrolet Silverado topped a best-seller list compiled by MSN Carpoint.

Only four of the Top 10 were cars, with Toyota's Camry coming in at No. 3 overall. Also included: two sport-utility vehicles and just one minivan: the Dodge Caravan. Light trucks accounted for 51.9 percent of vehicle sales in the first quarter, compared with 48.1 percent for cars, according to Autodata Corp. Overall, car and light truck sales are down 3.3 percent so far this year, compared with the same period in 2001, Autodata reports. The Carpoint best sellers:
