It has happened again: A youthful computer hacker causes trouble, and right away someone in authority wants to hire him. In the latest case, the Dutch student who confessed last week to spreading the virus named for Russian tennis star Anna Kournikova has a job intervew, if he wants it, with the city of Sneek. Said Mayor Siebold Hartkamp, "I've learned that former poachers make the best game wardens." But the "modest, unassuming kid" should finish school first, he added. Last month, the president of Bulgaria said he'd hire "without hesitation" a young man who hacked into his official website

"We are talking very small numbers," said a spokesman for Buckingham Palace. "Only three have been seen." Three what? Well, mice - spotted in the kitchen where meals are prepared for Queen Elizabeth II. Exterminators have been called in. But reports that Her Majesty may have to move to Windsor Castle if she wishes hot food are vigorously denied.

'Hannibal' scares off rivals at box office, remains No. 1

It's horrifying. It's gruesome. It's cannibalistic. And yet, filmgoers apparently can't get enough of "Hannibal," the Anthony Hopkins thriller that easily held onto its top ranking at motion picture box offices across North America for a second straight weekend. The long-awaited sequel to the 1991 Academy Award-winning "The Silence of the Lambs" raked in $35.5 million over the Feb. 16-18 pre-Presidents' Day weekend. The 10 top-grossing films (in millions) for the period as measured by box-office tracker Exhibitor Relations Inc.:

1. "Hannibal" $35.5

2. "Down to Earth" 20.1

3. "Recess: School's Out" 13.1

4. "Sweet November" 11.7

5. "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" 11.0

6. "Traffic" 7.5

7. "The Wedding Planner" 6.7

8. "Chocolat" 6.1

9. "Cast Away" 5.8

10. "Saving Silverman" 5.5
