Put a little kick in your day: US women's soccer takes the field today against Nigeria for Game 3, the last of their preliminary matches.

Also today, poolside there's the women's 4x200m freestyle relay with Jenny Thompson on the US side. The woman to beat in the 200m butterfly event is Australia's Susie O'Neill, who won the gold in this event in 1996. Russia's Alexander Popov will be racing in the men's 100m freestyle. If he wins the gold, it will be his third in this event. His competitors: US swimmer Gary Hall and the Netherland's Pieter van den Hoogenband.

Star US gymnast Blaine Wilson heads into the men's individual events.

And even after a loss to Japan on Tuesday, US women's softball can still win a gold. They play China today.
