The name of the project director of Core-Plus math ("How a new math program rose to the top," page 15, May 23) is Christian Hirsch.

The two teachers who rewrote the eighth-grade math curriculum at School 2 in Paterson, N.J., ("US school, Japanese method," page 16, May 23) are William Jackson and Beverly Piekema.
