College Football (ABC, 1-11 p.m.): The WAC Championship game in Las Vegas between Air Force and Brigham Young kicks off a triple-header of conference title games. Kansas St. vs. Texas A&M and Tennessee vs. Mississippi round out the competition.

SUNDAY 12/6

Rosie O'Donnell's Kids Are Punny (HBO, 7:30-8 p.m.): Even the name is "punny." Inspired by the talk-show host's book, the fun-filled special includes hilarious interviews with kids and live-action footage of stand-up acts. (TV-Y7)

The Christmas Wish (CBS, 9-11 p.m.) Debbie Reynolds plays a grieving widow who finds a reference to a mysterious "Lillian" in her late husband's diary. Fearing the woman might have been a lover, the widow asks her grandson (Neil Patrick Harris) to find her. He soon discovers how great a man his grandfather was - and how much he wants to be like him. At the end, a delicate twist reveals the meaning of the story - and makes the film worth our time. (TV-G)

Houdini (TNT, 8-10 p.m.): His name is synonymous with brilliant theatrical magic tricks. But what many people may not realize is that he dogged the trail of fake spiritualists, unmasking their cruel tricks to save the public much grief. Johnathon Schaech gives a bright performance in this Pen Densham ("Moll Flanders") original. (TV-14)

Girls Night (Showtime, 9-10:45 p.m.): Brenda Blethyn ("Secrets & Lies"), Julie Walters, and Kris Kristofferson head the cast in this made-for-TV movie about two middle-aged best friends who decide to fulfill a lifelong dream of traveling to Las Vegas. The drama is well-acted and has its share of endearing and funny moments, but it doesn't quite hit the mark. (TV-14, DLS)

MONDAY 12/7

Billboard Music Awards (Fox, 8-10 p.m.): Live from Las Vegas, the ninth annual award show honors the year's top artists. Madonna, Lauryn Hill, and Natalie Imbruglia headline the festivities. (TV-PG)

TUESDAY 12/8

Invasion: Earth (Sci-Fi, 9-11 p.m.): It takes two episodes for the intrigue to thicken. The storytelling is slow-going, especially when brutal multidimensional aliens threaten the existence of humankind. This is the network's first original mini-series. Back-to-back "chapters" air over three nights, concluding Thursday at 9 p.m.

WEDNESDAY 12/9

Great Performances (PBS, 9-11 p.m.): "Pavarotti & Friends," brings together an eclectic cast in a benefit for children in war-torn Liberia. Guest artists include Jon Bon Jovi, Celine

Dion, and the Spice Girls.

Scandalous Me: The Jacqueline Susann Story (USA, 9-11 p.m.): Before Jacqueline Susann wrote "Valley of the Dolls," she lived it. Or so the story goes. Michele Lee stars as the provocative and outrageous writer whose novel is still one of the bestselling Top 10 novels of all time. (TV-14, DLS)

Cecilia Bartoli: Live in Italy (PBS, check local listings): One of the most celebrated mezzo-sopranos performs songs and arias in Vicenza, Italy.
