SATURDAY 11/21

NCAA Football (ABC, 3:30-6 p.m.): Talk about a sibling rivalry. The Florida-Florida State contest gets bigger and bigger each year. But this one has consequences: The winner has a chance to move into contention for the national title.

Winchell (HBO, 8-10 p.m.): Stanley Tucci stars as Walter Winchell, a syndicated columnist from the late 1920s to the '50s who added zest to tabloid journalism. For mature audience only.

SUNDAY 11/22

Saint Maybe (CBS, 9-11 p.m.): Based on Pulitzer Prize-winning author Anne Tyler's poignant novel, the movie focuses on Ian Bedloe (Thomas McCarthy), who is consumed with guilt after he interferes in his brother's life. He then turns to the Church of Second Chance for redemption. This unpredictable family saga also stars Edward Hermann, Blythe Danner, and Mary-Louise Parker.

Rear Window (ABC, 9-11 p.m.): The '90s version goes high-tech. Christopher Reeve plays a paralyzed architect (Jason Kemp) who spies on his neighbors with a video camera. One night, he hears a woman scream and fears she may have been murdered by her abusive husband. Hard-core Hitchcock fans may shun this remake, but this small-screen drama will keep you on the edge of your seat. (TV-PG, L,S,V)

WEDNESDAY 11/25

Nerds 2.0.1: A Brief History of the Internet (PBS, 8-9 p.m.): It's goofy, geeky, and good. This three-part series is a sequel to the documentary "A Triumph of the Nerds" and looks at the history of the internet. (TV-G)

Ebenezer (TNT, 8-10 p.m.): Overwritten and a little silly, this cowboy version of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" boasts one delightful element - Jack Palance as Scrooge, the crooked gambler, owner of a saloon in the old west, who finds redemption on Christmas eve. (TV-PG)

Babylon 5: Sleeping in the Light (TNT, 10-11 p.m.): The five-year space opera comes to a sobering, yet oddly life-affirming end - implying that life is without end. The story advances 20 years, and John Sheridan (Bruce Boxleitner) approaches the end of his life. Fine performances and a decent script help make this a memorable ending to an often fascinating sci-fi adventure series. (TV-PG)

THURSDAY 11/26

A Winnie the Pooh Thanksgiving (ABC, 8-8:30 p.m.): The first new Pooh program in two years is charming, sweet, and fun. The holiday special follows Pooh and the gang in the Hundred Acre Wood as they search for ingredients for a perfect feast (TV-G)

It's a Wonderful Life (NBC, 12 noon-3 p.m.): This year the Yuletide classic will come to the Thanksgiving table. Jimmy Stewart plays the suicidal George Bailey who with the help of an angel comes to recognize how worthwhile his life has been. Flawless direction by Frank Capra. (TV-G)
