NFL PLAYOFFS

(All times are Eastern Standard) SUNDAY, JAN. 15

San Diego at Pittsburgh

12:30 p.m. (American Conference Championship)

When the teams met three weeks ago in the regular-season finale, San Diego won, 37-34. But that was in San Diego, and some of Pittsburgh's key players didn't play. This time the game is in Pittsburgh with the Steelers' second-ranked NFL defense and battering ground attack primed.

Dallas at San Francisco

4 p.m. (National Conference Championship)

The National Conference winner has also won the Super Bowl for the last 10 years. This game pits the two best quarterbacks in the game - San Francisco's Steve Young and Dallas's Troy Aikman - and two of the NFL's best overall organizations. In the last two championship games, Dallas has come out on top, but the Niners seem poised, confident, hungry, and capable of finding the winning edge.
