Environmental Media Awards (Sunday, TBS, 11 p.m. to conclusion): Yes, another awards show - but with a difference. The keynote address is delivered by Mikhail Gorbachev, former president of the Soviet Union and now president of Green Cross International. The host is United States Poet Laureate Maya Angelou.

On the other hand, Chevy Chase is here, and so is Kermit the Frog.

Taped earlier this week in Los Angeles, this is the fourth annual version of an event - presented by Environmental Media Association - designed to get the media involved in educating people about environmental concerns. Prizes are handed out by a long list of celebrity presenters (like Disney chairman Michael Eisner, Margaret Cho, Kelsey Grammer, and co-host Hector Elizondo).

MONDAY

Nick Jr. (Nickelodeon, 11 a.m.-noon): Two new programs for preschoolers are debuting on ``Nick Jr.,'' the name the channel gives its daily block of programming for younger kids.

It kicks off with ``Allegra's Window,'' from 11 to 11:30 a.m., using puppets, live action, and music to look at life through the eyes - and emotions - of a three-year-old girl.

``Gullah Gullah Island'' (11:30-noon), among the first series for this age-group to focus on a black family, stars Ron and Natalie Daise from South Carolina's Sea Islands, a married couple in real life. They perform songs, games, and dances.

Men, Movies, and Carol (CBS, 10-11 p.m.): As its title not-so-subtly suggests, this special is a spoof, one that lets Carol Burnett - joined by Scott Bakula, Tony Bennett, Barry Bostwick, and Michael Jeter - do a number on several classic films. It's a format that harks back to the variety shows that once loomed large in network prime time.

The special targets are famous scenes from such movies as ``Double Indemnity,'' ``The Remains of the Day,'' and ``The Graduate.'' But the program is also a salute to film music and includes a song-and-dance medley based on ``Gigi,'' ``The Wizard of Oz,'' and ``Singin' in the Rain.''
