JAZZ. Joshua Redman Quartet - Mood Swing (Warner Brothers): It. seems like every six months there's a new young jazz phenomenon, but saxophonist Joshua Redman is the real thing. Last year, he won both the Down Beat and Rolling Stone Critics Polls for Jazz Artist of the Year. This is already his third album in two years. He stands out not only as an inventive soloist, but also as a talented songwriter - he penned all 11 tracks. The diverse recording includes ballads, funk, bossa nova, and free-form jazz.
