MUSCOVITES LINE UP FOR COSMETICS AND CAMERAS

* Moscow's citizens, who have spent much of their lives standing in line for food, are now lining up for a variety of consumer goods, according to two surveys by Friedmann & Rose Advertising in Moscow.

Of the 1,000 Moscow women surveyed, more than 31 percent said they spend about $20 or more on cosmetic products each month. About 11 percent said they spend $50 or more each month on these products. All of the women surveyed said they spent more than $20 a month on perfume.

In another survey, more than 80 percent of the 1,000 mostly male Muscovites surveyed said they currently own a camera. The same number said that they will purchase another camera within the next six to 12 months, spending up to $90.
