During 1991, as soft drink sales generally increased only 1.8 percent, Coca-Cola Company's market share rose to a decade high of 41 percent, Beverage Digest reports. Pepsi's loss of the Burger King and Wendy's accounts contributed to a drop in market share to 32.8 percent.

Dr. Pepper/7Up Companies and Cadbury Beverages (Canada Dry, Schweppes, Crush) each posted the largest gains in market share for beverage companies.
