FIRMS PLAN TO ADD WORKERS AS YEAR ENDS

Hiring of new employees will take a small step forward during the fourth quarter of 1991, according to a survey by Manpower Inc., a temporary-help service.The survey of over 15,000 employers shows that 21 percent of the firms intend to add to their present work force in the next three months, while 12 percent plan reductions. In the third quarter, 22 percent planned increases and 10 percent anticipated reductions.
