TRAVELERS PREFER NONSMOKING ROOMS

More business travelers these days would like to stay in nonsmoking rooms, according to a survey by Homewood Suites Inc., a national chain of all-suite hotels.The company's quarterly guest satisfaction survey shows that seven out of 10 guests prefer nonsmoking suites. So the company has decided to increase its percentage of nonsmoking suites from 50 percent to 75 percent at each hotel. With this program, Homewood Suites will provide more than double the 35 percent industry average of nonsmoking rooms.
