The amount of revenue lost to software piracy in the United States in 1990 was $2.4 billion, compared to $2.5 billion for 1989, $2.9 billion for 1988, and $2.3 billion for 1987, according to the Software Publishers Association.Although these numbers exceed previous estimates, there is a bright spot for software manufactures.
