KURDISH LEADER TO VISIT TURKEY FOR TALKS

Kurdish rebel leader Jalal Talabani is to visit Turkey for talks on the allied force to be based there to protect Kurds against any threat from Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.President Bush, in Turkey on a two-day visit, said clashes between Kurds and Iraqi troops in two northern towns over the weekend - in which scores were reported killed and hundreds injured - did not seem to signal a major battle was brewing but were a cause for concern.
