WORTH NOTING ON TV

SATURDAY

Classic Weekend (CBS, 8-9:30 p.m.): TV takes another of its many recent backward glances in this three-night nostalgia binge. Clips from classic series are aired - along with reminiscences by the actors and others. Saturday it's ``All in the Family's 20th Anniversary Special,'' followed Sunday by ``The Very Best of the Ed Sullivan Show'' and Monday by ``Mary Tyler Moore'' (also celebrating its 20th year).

SUNDAY

Young Catherine (TNT, 10- p.m.): A 16-year-old German girl comes to 18th-century Russia to marry Grand Duke Peter, - and ultimately becomes ``empress of all the Russias.'' This history-based story - aired on two consecutive nights - was filmed on location in Leningrad and offers lush settings, lots of intricate turns, and a notably strong cast.

MONDAY

Voice of the Planet (TBS, 8:05-10:05 p.m.): Something different in the environmental-consciousness department: an exotic five-part drama set mainly in a Tibetan monastery. Through a computer, Gaia, the spirit of the earth, speaks (with Faye Dunaway's voice) about the state of the planet to a writer played by William Shatner. To be aired on consecutive nights, the show took two years to make - in 240 locations on five continents.

WEDNESDAY

The Grammys (CBS, 8-11 p.m., E.T.): This year's awards - aired live from New York's Radio City Music Hall - mark the 33rd annual version of the recording industry's big night. Garry Shandling is host.
