MINNESOTA HIGH COURT FIRST IN US WITH FEMALE MAJORITY

Outgoing Gov. Rudy Perpich (D) has appointed Sandra Gardebring to the Minnesota Supreme Court, making the state the first in the nation with a majority of women on its high court. Governor Perpich made the appointment Friday, his last full workday in the office.
