BHUTTO'S HUSBAND ARRESTED IN PAKISTAN

A judge yesterday denied bail to the husband of ousted Pakistani Premier Benazir Bhutto, following his arrest on charges of kidnapping and extortion, officials said. They said that the judge in the southern port of Karachi ordered Asif Ali Zardari be detained for 13 days so that police can question him further.

Mr. Zardari would appear in the court again on Oct. 24.
