Mr. Mostart has also worked with the Glyndebourne Festival Opera in England. AID FOR 199 PROFESSIONAL THEATERS was announced by the National Endowment for the Arts. During the 1988-89 season, $7,760,000 will be channeled to nonprofit theaters of national or regional significance. Recipients of the largest grants include the Guthrie Theater, Minneapolis; the New York Shakespeare Festival; Arena Stage, Washington; American Repertory Theatre, Cambridge, Mass.; La Mama Experimental Theater Club, New York; and the Mark Taper Forum, Los Angeles. JAZZ TRUMPETER CLARK TERRY will conduct a master class with young musicians at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia on Dec. 14. Citywide auditions will be held to select participants. The class is open to the public, as audience, free of charge. MIKHAIL BARYSHNIKOV will star as Gregor in a Broadway production of Kafka's ``Metamorphosis'' early next year. The dancer has appeared as an actor in film and on TV. This will be his stage debut in a drama.
