Godzilla Meets Mona Lisa (PBS, 10-11 p.m.): Witty and irreverent portrait of Paris's Pompidou Centre.

SATURDAY

Werewolf (Fox, 8-10 p.m.): New network introduces new horror-spoof series with two-hour special.

Elton John: In Concert in Australia (Showtime/pay cable, 10-11:25 p.m.; also Thursday 7 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.): Flamboyant singer in concert, taped last year in Sydney.

Day of Five Billion (WTBS cable, 10:15-11:45 p.m., to follow Atlanta Braves baseball): Global variety show celebrating birth of the 5 billionth person.

SUNDAY

Gal'apagos: My Fragile World (PBS, 8-9 p.m.): National Audubon Society Special records the fight to preserve Gal'apagos wildlife.

Granby's Primates: A Captive Life (PBS, 8-8:30 p.m.): Five species of primates in new habitats in Quebec's Granby Zoo.

Man and Animals (PBS, 8:30-9 p.m.): A look at human-animal relationships in various contexts.

MONDAY

Directed by William Wyler (PBS, 9-10 p.m.): ``American Masters'' examines career of filmmaker William Wyler (preview, Page 26).

Alive From Off Center (PBS, 10-11 p.m.): ``As Seen on TV'' is a Bill Irwin homage to silent-film comedians.

TUESDAY

Baseball All-Star Game (NBC, 8:15 p.m.): Vin Scully and Joe Garagiola cover this 58th annual classic, live from Oakland, Calif.

The Frustrated Colossus (PBS, 9-10 p.m.): Segment of ``South American Journey''' series focuses on what went wrong in Argentina.

WEDNESDAY

American Film Institute Comedy Special (NBC, 10-11 p.m.): Comedians and comedy writers in a showcase for aspiring talents.

The Movie Palaces (PBS, 10:30-11 p.m.): The glittering heyday, decline, and current rebirth of the grand old movie palaces, with Gene Kelly as host.
