Lebanon, Israel to begin pullout talks Thursday

Lebanon and Israel have agreed to reschedule to Thursday the start of talks aimed at ending Israel's occupation of south Lebanon, the Lebanese government reported Monday.

Meanwhile, US Assistant Secretary of State Richard Murphy arrived in Amman yesterday from Damascus. The envoy has been on a Middle East tour to discuss the Israeli troop withdrawal from southern Lebanon. He had already visited Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Syria.
