Mondale, Ferraro direct closing punches at Reagan
Walter Mondale began the final week of the 1984 presidential campaign by taking note of President Reagan's much more relaxed campaign schedule. ''The administration has begun a strategy of hiding in the White House,'' he said at a news conference in San Francisco on Sunday. ''They are taking the American people for granted.''
Meanwhile, speaking at a New York synagogue Monday, Geraldine Ferraro charged that President Reagan had ''debased himself'' by saying in a speech at a New York synagogue Friday that the Democratic Party leadership lacked the moral courage to denounce anti-Semitism. ''That was a disgraceful falsehood,'' she said.
