Trudeau to act as adviser on peace to his successor

Former Liberal prime minister Pierre Trudeau, who launched a one-man international peace crusade during his last months in office, is to act as a peace adviser to new Conservative Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.

Mr. Trudeau, who retired in June, will be honored in Washington next month when he is to be presented with a $50,000 US prize from the Albert Einstein Peace Foundation.
