High Court bars ex-hostages from Suing Iran in US courts

The Supreme Court Tuesday barred Americans held hostage by Iran for more than 14 months from suing the Iranian government in United States courts. It also agreed to judge the validity of a federal program in New York in which public school teachers conduct remedial classes in parochial schools.

And it cleared the way for the imprisonment of two former Philadelphia city councilmen, Harry P. Jannotti and George X. Schwartz, convicted in the government's Abscam undercover operation.
