Taiwanese official calls pact on Hong Kong a Chinese trick

Taiwanese Foreign Minister Chu Fu-sung described the Sino-British draft agreement on Hong Kong Thursday as another trick in China's peace offensive against Taiwan. Mr. Chu, who heads a government committee studying the likely effect of the British colony's return to Peking, warned parliament in a report that Hong Kong could go the same way as Tibet, which had been promised the same autonomy and separate systems by China in 1951.
