Brun-treatment experients extend to new, third case
The Shriners Burn Institute has announced the third case of skin graft treatment with laboratory-produced ''culture'' skin. The special care of a severely burned five-year-old boy from Texas began in late August. The procedure , under which a tiny sample of skin is used to grow new skin in a test tuble, was begun secretly six months ago in two similar child cases. The procedure was made public Aug. 15 in an announcement by the institute which says recovery in the first case is proceeding slowly while the second child has returned to school.
