Ferraro says Reagan believes in 'the survival of the richest'
Rep. Geraldine Ferraro, speaking at a largely blue-collar rally, charged Monday that the Reagan administration has given wealthy Americans ''a monopoly on the American dream'' and believes in ''the survival of the richest.''
On Sunday, New York Roman Catholic Archbishop John J. O'Connor said Ms. Ferraro had created an incorrect ''impression'' that Catholic teachings on abortion are flexible. But she says she has ''never made a statement relative to the church's teaching on abortion.'' Ferraro has said that while she is personally opposed to abortion, she supports the right of women to make individual judgments on the issue.
