Security Council faces issue on Israeli pullout in Lebanon

The Security Council was to vote Thursday on a draft resolution demanding that Israeli forces occupying southern Lebanon reopen all roads and lift restrictions on travelers, a Council member said.

The Reagan administration opposes a resolution directed at Israeli troops and not other occupying forces in Lebanon, such as Syrians and Palestinians.
