Rains and typhoon sweep South Korea and Philippines

Torrential rains Sunday left at least 120 people dead or missing and 100,000 homeless in Seoul, South Korea, while 300 people were said to have died when a typhoon struck the Philippines, authorities in those countries said. US military helicopters and boats helped rescue hundreds of South Koreans.
