Reagan counters attacks on policies toward women

President Reagan, expressing frustration with attacks on his policies toward women, declared that sex discrimination is as evil as racial or religious intolerance.

Speaking at a luncheon of the Women's Business Owners of New York Thursday, Mr. Reagan pledged that the Justice Department will press on with the fight for women's equal rights.

Reagan is an opponent of the Equal Rights Amendment and has drawn fire from those who support it.
