Chinese and Soviets plan new round of amity talks

China and the Soviet Union will begin a fourth round of talks aimed at normalizing their relations on March 12 in Moscow, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.

China says resuming normal relations depends on an end to Kremlin support for Vietnam's occupation of Kampuchea, Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan, and the scaling down of large Soviet military formations along the Chinese border.
