Arafat arrives in Jordan for talks with Hussein

Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat reopened talks Sunday with Jordan's King Hussein after a 10-month lapse in their discussions on joint moves to regain peacefully the Israeli-occupied West Bank, officials said.

This was Arafat's first visit to Jordan since April last year, when a first round of Jordanian-PLO negotiations collapsed because of opposition from Syrian- and Libyan-backed Palestinian radicals.
