Another Mideast figure killed in a Paris shooting
A gunman shot and killed the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Wednesday in the second killing of Middle East political figures here in two days, police said.
Ambassador Khalifa Ahmed Abdel Aziz al-Mubarak was shot outside his residence on the chic Left Bank, near the Eiffel Tower.
The gunman escaped on foot, apparently alone, a police spokesman said. Police said the attack was similar to the shooting Tuesday of two Iranians.
