Stops in Ireland, France on Reagan's June itinerary

President Reagan will make stops in Ireland and France on his way to the Economic Summit in London, June 7-9, the White House announced Thursday. Mr. Reagan will travel to Ireland, the homeland of his ancestors, June 2-4 to visit Ballyporeen, in County Tipperary, and is expected to tour other areas. He was invited by Prime Minister Garret FitzGerald.

At the invitation of French President Francois Mitterrand, Reagan will take part in ceremonies at Normandy on June 6 marking the 40th anniversary of D-Day, the Allied landing in Europe during World War II and a turning point in the struggle against the Nazis.
