Israeli minister asks freeze on West Bank investment

Israeli Finance Minister Yigal Cohen-Orgad will propose freezing investments in Israeli settlements in occupied territories as part of a plan to rescue the floundering economy, Israel radio said Wednesday. The report coincided with a new public-opinion poll showing that a majority of Israelis oppose creating new settlements in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.
