US resumes military aid to Chad government

Western diplomats here said the US would resume airlifting arms to Chad today after a three-week suspension. They said a US Air Force transport plane would arrive carrying a ''significant item,'' but they declined to say more. The US has already delivered some $10 million of the $25 million of emergency military aid promised to the Chad government.
