Leftist guerillas are fighting to nullify the effects of the Salvadorean Army's sweep that virtually cleared San Vicente Province. So far they have wounded at least five soldiers in the eastern province, military sources say. They said Army troops, led by the elite US-trained Green Berets, battled the insurgents near the town of Santa Clara, about 40 miles northeast of San Salvador. The guerrillas, driven out of the province at the start of the government campaign two months ago, have been filtering back.
