Honduras has charged that Nicaraguan troops went six miles into its territory last week and threatened to kill five Hondurans before freeing them. The border area between the two Central American states has been tense since US-backed anti-Sandinist rebels mounted a guerrilla campaign from bases inside Honduras. The border area will soon be the scene of big joint US-Honduran exercises.
