The Beach Boys finally got their place in the White House sun. With the President and Nancy Reagan clapping along, the group played on the South Lawn Sunday at a benefit for the Special Olympics for handicapped children. Interior Secretary James Watt had caused an outcry earlier, when he banned the Californians from playing on the Washington Monument grounds this Fourth of July.
