A majority of Americans (55 percent) are more concerned about increased US involvement in Central America than any spread of communism in the region (primary concern of 34 percent), according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll. And by a 3-1 margin, those polled rejected President Reagan's proposal to increase military aid to El Salvador.
