Chinese premier cool to Reagan invitation

Chinese Premier Zhao Ziyang, unhappy with Chinese-US relations, was quoted as saying he had no immediate plans to accept President Reagan's invitation for a Washington visit.

Mr. Zhao gave his views in an interview in Peking with the head of an Australian publishing group. In the first indication that Peking may invest in the West, he said he would visit Australia next month to discuss a joint iron ore mining venture.
