Jordan agrees to ties with Palestinian entity

The Palestine Liberation Organization and Jordan announced that they had agreed on a ''special and distinctive relationship'' between Jordan and a potential Palestinian entity.

After two days of top-level talks, the agreement was announced in a joint communique, issued a week before King Hussein of Jordan meets President Reagan in Washington in an effort to speed up the pace of Middle East peace negotiations.
