Israel's prime minister leaves for 10-day US visit

Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin left Thursday for a 10-day visit in the US, where he is to have talks with President Reagan and Secretary of State George Shultz next Friday.

Meanwhile, an Israeli newspaper here reports that the US and the Palestine Liberation Organization are conducting indirect negotiations that could lead to an invitation for Yasser Arafat to visit Washington. Haaretz said the negotiations were being conducted through Morrocan and Saudi intermediaries.
