World socialist meeting takes up Central America

Leading world Socialists began a two-day meeting expected to focus on the situation in Central America. The presidium of the Socialist International opened discussions on East-West relations, with West German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt in attendance, officials said. Salvadoran opposition leader Guillermo Ungo was scheduled to report on the political situation in his country.
