Senator Williams insists his actions were ethical

In the second day of his Senate expulsion trial, Sen. Harrison Williams (D) of New Jersey insisted his involvement in the Abscam scandal may not have been wise but did not amount to ''ethical misconduct.''

''Now I think in personal terms I made mistakes,'' the Senator told reporters , ''but they were not unethical or immoral."
