Greek Cypriots pleased with Papandreou visit

Greek Prime Minister Andreas Papandreou left the divided Mediterranean island of Cyprus at the end of a three-day visit that delighted Greek Cypriots and upset the Turkish Cypriot minority.

Greek Cypriots turned out in force to see the first Greek premier to visit in more than 20 years, and Mr. Papandreou told them the island's plight was Greece's top priority.
